Yesterday we went canoeing down the river
Vezère. We were taken to Thonac to get on the water and then went down river to Tursac past St-Leon-sur-Vezère and Roque St Christophe where you can visit Troglodyte dwellings. We met up with Michaela's Sister, Hayley and family, who are staying on camp site not very far away.
NB. These are not my feet! We used our waterproof camera and passed it around so a lot of these photos are taken by Eloise.
Zoë was very keen to go canoeing and loved it. She had her own paddle but preferred to simply enjoy the ride!

There was some very lovely scenery along the way and interesting looking caves and overhangs.
Eloise and Abby got a boat of their own. They did fine. After our lunch break Abby and Ted swapped places. The boat with Eloise and Ted in was a very chatty boat but made slow progress!

Heading back to the bus that would take us back to our car at St-Leon-sur-Vezère. We got our Canoes from Aventure Plein Air who were very good. Their website is here: http://www.canoevezere.com/
